John Healey MP, Labour's Shadow Health Secretary, said in response to figures published today which reveal the number of people waiting over six weeks for diagnostic tests have risen by 243%, or over 10,000 people more, between April 2010 and April this year:

“Yesterday David Cameron pledged to keep waiting times low. He said ‘waiting times really matter’. These figures show he is breaking his NHS promises again, as long waiting times for tests have trebled during his year as Prime Minister.”
