Douglas Alexander MP, Labour's Shadow Foreign Secretary,
responding to the review of export control policy released today, said:

"Putting out a short statement on a heavy news day, alongside 29 others, fails to reflect the depth of concern felt on the issue of arms exports.

"Labour called for this review back in February but William Hague still has more work to do to give British people confidence that our system of export controls is robust and effective in the face of the tumultuous changes in North Africa."
