Ed Miliband MP, Leader of the Labour Party, speaking on a visit to Daisy Communications in Chorley, Lancashire today, said:

"What is absolutely clear is that this do-nothing summit should not have been allowed to end without a clear resolution for the crisis in the eurozone and a clear plan for the growth and jobs which Britain and the rest of the world needs.

"I'm afraid what we have had is a Prime Minister who has sat on the sidelines and not shown the leadership that Britain needs.

"David Cameron is out of touch with the gravity of the situation and what is required by British businesses and families."
