Michael Dugher MP, Labour's Shadow Cabinet Minsiter without portfolio, commenting on the Prime Minister's Sunday Times article, said:
"It is increasingly clear that this is a dysfunctional government.
"We have a Prime Minister too busy managing the infighting in his own party to stand up for the country. David Cameron spends most of his time these days talking to his party about his party - and the public get left behind.
"Under Cameron's weak leadership, the Government lurches from one u-turn to another. A double dip recession, a massive squeeze on living standards - yet he refuses to take action on the banks and he insists on keeping his tax cuts for millionaires.
"The Prime Minister has not only lost the confidence of his own party, he is losing the confidence of the public too."
